Caroline Fay Bange

August 20, 2008 — September 13, 2026

Elm Grove

Caroline Fay Bange was born on August 20, 2008. Born with Loeys-Dietz Syndrome, Caroline faced many obstacles that she battled with superhero strength and grace throughout her life. On the night of Sunday, September 13, 2026, her battle ended; her body was healed, and she walked into the loving arms of Jesus.

Caroline grew up on a farm in Elm Grove, Louisiana. Caroline loved Marvel comics. She loved going to the movies and eating way too much popcorn. She loved music. She loved Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton, and scream-singing in the car. She loved Wicked, Hamilton, and anything on Broadway. She loved a terrible dad joke and trying to create her own. She loved books and reading from before she could even read on her own; no book more than The Outsiders.

Caroline loved the holidays. She loved Halloween the most. You could find her and her father working on costumes months in advance to spend one night dressed as the cutest Goomba, the most accurate Captain Marvel, or even Spider-Man… just so her dad could finally be Doctor Octopus. Christmas started for Caroline officially on November 1st…but also sometimes on a random Tuesday in April…with Mariah Carey Christmas songs. Caroline’s “favorite night of the year” was Night to Shine, and she looked forward to it every February. This event was truly Caroline’s night to shine! Caroline loved to travel. Whether it was a road trip to the Grand Ole Opry or a week in Times Square with her mom, she loved planning and going on an adventure.

Caroline was a Senior at Parkway High School. Her favorite thing about her Senior year was her community involvement class that allowed her to work with the preschool students at Elm Grove Elementary, where she looked forward to seeing her “babies” every day! Caroline was also the proud co-owner of a T-shirt company with her mom. She let her creativity loose on marketing reels for the company’s social media. Her favorite part of her job was spending a day making reels for social media, and they were guaranteed to make you smile.

Most of all, Caroline loved people. Her larger-than-life personality lit up any room she walked into. She never met a stranger. Talking to anyone, anytime, about anything. Caroline was always smiling and singing. Her joy was contagious, and she was the bright spot in so many lives.

Caroline loved Jesus and sought the Lord for strength through her favorite bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11;

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Caroline is preceded in death by several beloved family members. She is survived by her loving mother, Jennie Bange; her devoted father, Wesley Bange, and stepmom, Megan Bange; and her grandparents, Scott and Sharon Moore and Steve and Jeannette Bange.

Caroline’s family would like to offer their most sincere thanks and express their deepest admiration to all the doctors, nurses, and medical providers who did so much for Caroline over the course of her life.
