Carol Dean DeVall Gaddis

A Funeral service celebrating the life of Carol Dean DeVall Gaddis, 83, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2026, at Wallace Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Jinks and Bro. Dean Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. service time Friday, June 12, 2026, at Wallace Baptist Church.

Carol Dean DeVall Gaddis was born on February 13, 1943, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Calvin DeVall and Carrie Deshotel DeVall and passed away June 7, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Carol was preceded in death by parents, Carrie and Calvin DeVall; son, Robert “Robbie” Fontenot; grandson, Robert “Jamie” Richard and brother-in-law, Rick Arnold.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James “Buster” Gaddis; daughter, Michelle Doucet (Brad Munson); sister, Barbara Arnold; grandchildren, Macie Landry (Jonathan) , Tiffany Dugas (John), grand blessings Samantha (Joey) Piazza, Casey Lamonte and Jacob Gaddis; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Abbie, Johnathan, Luke, Samantha, Rose, Jackson, Caden, Noah and Brinley along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Honoring Carol as pallbearers will be Rob Gaddis, Chuck Gaddis, James Procell, Jimmy Brown, Arnold Cruse and Jake Philmon.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Gary Anderson, Mitch Arnold and Sam Lamonte.
