Carol Frye

Carol Frye, 84, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2024. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 26, 1939, and graduated from Riverside High School in 1957. 

Many will remember Carol for her no-nonsense attitude, dogged self-sufficiency, and dry sense of humor. She enjoyed gardening, needlecrafts, and cooking and believed everything was better with butter. Carol was a dedicated mother and instilled in her children an exceptional work ethic and ability to find humor in even the most trying circumstances; a legacy that will live on through generations.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Irene Goll; her sister, Joan Paikowski and her husband, Earl Frye. She is survived by her children, Jenny Morgan, and husband, Mike, Amy Walker, and husband, Johnny, and Gregory Frye and wife, Denise and grandchildren, Joey Walker, Kaitlyn Walker, Luke Morgan, and Kingston DeLorenzo.

The family extends their gratitude and appreciation to her wonderful caregivers at Brownlee Community Care Center and the compassionate hospice services from Gentiva.
