Carl Wayne Ferrell was born February 3, 1949, in Jacksonville, Texas to Calvin and Valeria Holland Ferrell. He passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at his home in Arcadia with his loving family by his side.

Carl Wayne was a one-of-a-kind man. To know him was a blessing. Carl had an amazing sense of humor, was a lively storyteller, had a joke for any occasion, and was very quick with his quips. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Carl worked as a mechanic and in oilfield sales, but was a Jack of All Trades. He was a plumber and electrician but loved building and welding the most. His greatest love though was for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Carl was loved and adored by everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Valeria Ferrell, his daughter Susan Ferrell, brother Ed Ferrell, sister Wandal Wright, and by son-in-law Brandon Christlieb.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 57 years, Edna Ferrell, daughters; Valeria Ferrell, and Kem Ferrell and husband Jason Batten, grandchildren; Kaden Christlieb, Tristan Christlieb, Kaytlin Christlieb, Kristen Batten, and Deane Batten, siblings; Diane Ferrell, Mary Stewart, and R.D. Barber, and by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Honoring Carl as pallbearers will be Jason Anderson, Jason Batten, Kaden Christlieb, Michael Ferrell, Tim Lofton, and Josh Moak.
