Candice Lynn "Candy" Milam was born April 28, 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away March 4, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana after a brief illness.
Candy was a graduate from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. After graduating, she met her husband, Milton Ray Milam, at the local cornerstone, and married on Valentine's Day. Candy was retired from the Caddo Parish School Board.
Candy loved creating jewelry and giving them as gifts. She frequented the gem and mineral shows and made jewelry with the treasures she found. She enjoyed being outdoors whether it was camping, fishing, or diamond mining with her husband. Candy was a very loving and giving person who felt that, if she could help one child, she could change the world.
Candy is preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Carole Caraway; biological father, Donald Gua; sister, Christina Caraway; niece, Sherry Gross; and fur-baby, Taran. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Milton Milam; daughter, Regina Bredenkamp; granddaughter, Lauren Schmidt; grandson, Jacob Bradenkamp; great-granddaughter, Alayna Schmidt; sister and best friend, Caye Caraway Bryce and husband, Kenny; half-siblings, Dianne, Dawn, Todd, Brad, and Troy; sister-in-law, Deborah Horn and husband, Johnny; brother-in-law, Victor Milam and wife, Elaine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
