Buddy Cyrus Couvillion

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Cathedral of St. John Berchman with Father Rothel Price officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. and a Vigil following. Buddy was born August 7, 1930 in Simsport, LA and went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2019 in Shreveport, LA. He dearly loved his Catholic faith, family, and country. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Hamilton and Myrtle Couvillion; wife, JoNell Langley Couvillion; and siblings, June, Wallace, and Thelma. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Alan Couvillion (Susan); daughters, Dana Clinton (Randy) and Sharon Doyal; grandchildren, Jennifer Ashbrook (Cary), Jared Clinton, Hollie Adams (Mark), Amber Estes (Stephen), Matt Couvillion, Colton Doyal (Maci), and Kaitlyn Doyal; great-grandchildren, Averie-Claire Adams, Brody Adams, Kailey Grace Ashbrook, Clinton Ashbrook, Charlee Ashbrook, and Blakely Blair Estes; and sister, Gloria Shoemaker (Jack). Honoring Buddy as pallbearers will be Matt Couvillion, Stephen Estes, Cary Ashbrook, Colton Doyal, Mark Adams, Adam Ebarb, and Hayden Flint. The family would like to thank the staff of Chateaus at Montclair, Southern Care Hospice, Heritage Manor Stratmore, and to Leann Barber, Edie Clemons, and Lillian Edwards.
