Buck James Johnson

Buck James Johnson, 41, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on May 29, 1985, and died in a traffic accident on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Buck was preceded in death by his mother, Susie Frake Johnson, and all of his grandparents, Billy Johnson, Sr., and Dot Poche’ Johnson, and Gus A. Frake and Maxie Buie Frake.

He is survived by his father, James P. Johnson; his sister, Christi Johnson Hockaday, and her husband, Joe; his niece, Isabel Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Buck worked all his life in construction, first with his dad building new homes and more recently, with his uncle Bill, remodeling houses. He loved outdoor sports and activities, including hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, jet skiing, going to amusement parks, and kite flying with his buddy, Donny, “the kite man.” He packed a lot of adventure into his shortened life and will be dearly missed by us all.

Serving Buck as pallbearers will be his cousins and friends.
