Brunhild “Bonnie” Felicita Cimino, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on August 20, 1937, in Frankfurt, Germany, Bonnie was the cherished daughter of Felitias and Joseph Hoffman.
During the turmoil of World War II, Bonnie and her family came to America seeking a new beginning. It was in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she would meet the love of her life, Nick Cimino. The two were married on September 3, 1957, and together built a beautiful life centered on family, hard work, and love. They were blessed with two sons, Michael Cimino and Chris Cimino, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Bonnie was a dedicated and respected manager and partner at Don’s Seafood, where she worked for over 20 years. Her strong work ethic, warm smile, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on customers.
Known for her vibrant spirit, Bonnie was always full of life. She had an infectious laugh, a kind heart, and a passion for gardening, where she found peace and joy among her flowers. Her home and heart were always open, and she was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Felitias and Joseph Hoffman, her beloved husband, Nick Cimino, her sister, Renia Love, and her nephew, Vernon Love.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Michael Cimino and Chris Cimino; her treasured grandchildren, Marlanna Oswalt and husband Nic Oswalt, and Nick Cimino and wife Jenny Cimino; and her adored great-grandchildren, Addi Oswalt, Annie Cimino, Lukas Oswalt and Audrey Cimino. She is also survived by her loving cousins Debbie Love, Raymond Love, and Eilleen Love, along with countless other family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Funeral services for Bonnie will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Chris Cimino, Michael Cimino, Nick Cimino, and Nic Oswalt.
Bonnie’s legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones and tending to heavenly gardens filled with beauty and peace.
