Bruce Dupont

Funeral services for Bruce Dupont will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Kenny Joiner assisted by Reverend Buddy Hampton. Bruce was born on February 10, 1939 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Willis and Emma Dupont and passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Bruce was a resident of Greenwood, Louisiana and served in the Army Reserves. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Irma Dupont and brothers, Willis Dupont, George Dupont and Howard Dupont. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wall Dupont; sons, Bruce W. Dupont and wife, Terri, Dennis D. Dupont and wife, Donna and Bryan K. Dupont and wife, Melissa; daughter, Jean Warren and husband, Kevin; sister, Barbara Jilg; brother, Jerry Dupont; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Honoring Bruce as pallbearers will be Bubba Dunn, Jimmy Hill, Buddy Johnson, Ron Martin, Troy Myers and Ron Powell. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons. The family would like to express special thanks to the Greenwood Fire District #3, Jarod Sattler, Bill Bickham, Ryan Jowers and Ben Hyde, Greenwood Police Department, and the ICU Staff at Willis-Knighton North Hospital for the care given to Bruce.
