HOMER, LA: A graveside service was held for Mr. Brooksie Howard Lee, Jr., 71, at Ware's Chapel Cemetery near Haynesville, LA, on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Rodney Gray officiating. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Wednesday evening from 5-8 P.M.
Mr. Lee was born April 8, 1948, in Haynesville, LA, to Zela Mae Mullins and Brooksie H. Lee, Sr. He entered into rest on Monday, July 22, 2019, in Ruston, LA. Mr. Lee drove a bobtail high pressure truck wherever he was needed for Roberson Trucking Company for twenty years. His favorite color was blue and loved cake and ice cream. Mr. Lee loved God, family and his second family with the trucking company.
Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Wade Lee.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 44 years, Betty Ware Lee; a son, Robert Glenn Lee; a daughter, Amy Rachelle Lee; three sisters, Marilyn Arthur, Virginia Bailey, and Joanna Lee; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Michael Wright, Jason Fennell, Charles Cottrell, Dean Hampton, Brian Randall "Horsefly," and Carl Evans.
Honorary pallbearer was Ricky Roberson.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mr. Lee, his family suggests memorials be made to Ware's Chapel Cemetery.
