Brigitte Kay Teague

Brigitte Kay Teague, 66, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, cherished memories, and countless people whose lives were touched by her presence.

Brigitte was born on February 21, 1960. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who lived a simple and meaningful life centered around the people she loved and the moments that mattered most.

Brigitte is survived by her loving husband, James Allen Teague; her mother, Billie Jean Cumberland; her daughters, Toni Rochelle McLendon and Holli Nicole Buckley; her husband, Brent; her brother, Darrell Cumberland; and her beloved grandchildren, Cody McLendon, Cade McLendon, Ava McLendon, Everly McLendon, Brynleigh Akins, Aubrie Coffman, and McKinley Buckley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Eugene Cumberland.

In her early adult years, Brigitte spent many years working at the Caddo Parish Tax Assessor’s Office, where she made many lifelong friends. The relationships she formed there became an important part of her life and remained treasured throughout the years.

Brigitte enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, garage sales, and selling Avon to her friends and family. She had a way of turning ordinary moments into cherished memories and never needed much to make her happy.

A beautiful chapter of Brigitte’s life began on August 3, 2013, when she and James met by chance on the Red River. What began as an unexpected meeting blossomed into a loving relationship that continued until her passing.

Together, Brigitte and James shared a life filled with adventure, laughter, and countless memories. Brigitte loved exploring nature and discovering new places. The two enjoyed weekend trips to different cities, exploring what each place had to offer and making memories along the way.

They especially enjoyed camping and fishing, making the most of their time outdoors whenever they could. For Brigitte, these adventures were never about expensive things or elaborate plans. They were about being together, enjoying life, and making memories with the person she loved.

Brigitte was a truly special person who brought warmth, kindness, and love into the lives of those around her. Her greatest treasures were the people she loved, the memories she made, and the time she shared with family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by everyone whose life she was a part of. Brigitte was a true treasure in this world, and although her journey has come to an end, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her forever.

Until we meet again, Brigitte.

You will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be a part of us.
