It is with deep sorrow that the family of Brenda Moon Sanders announces her passing. Brenda went to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the age of 77, after a lengthy illness.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Pat Sanders; her daughters, Stephanie Grayson and Amanda Eldred (Jay);stepson, Patrick Sanders (Wendy); grandchildren, Thomas Jay Eldred, Madyson, Raegan and Ryleigh Sanders; sisters, Pamela Moon White, Becky Moon Grogan, Phyllis Moon Spencer (Bob); sister-in-law, Laura Jungeblut Monroe; loving nieces and nephews, Jenifer Martin (Cody), Trey Grogan, Katie Moyer, Sarah Wilks (Danny), Adam Jungeblut (Robyn), Neal Jungeblut (Candice) and Grant Jungeblut (Melissa) along with many grandnieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Harper Smith Moon and Berta Hidalgo Moon; beloved brothers-in-law, Greg Jungeblut, John White, and Tommy Grogan; stepson, Kyle Sanders; and nephew, Wes Alexander.
Brenda attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston and later received a BS degree from LSU/Shreveport. Holidays with family were some of her favorite times. Brenda had a sharp wit and an enormous fashion sense, always put together and fancy. She loved 60’s and 70’s music and we had many a family jam session long before Karaoke was popular. Although her song has ended, her melody will linger always in our hearts.
Brenda was an avid reader and lover of hardback books. Her home was filled with hundreds of books with which she refused to part. She also loved tennis, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and her bridge clubs. Brenda and Pat cherished their fun times with the Krewe of Centaur.
A little bit of Brenda will always live in us because the love of family transcends even life itself. Rest in peace, beautiful Brenda. Your life left its mark on us all! We will carry your joy with us until we see you again.
