Mrs. Rodgers was born July 31, 1960 in Shreveport, LA. She passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020.
Brenda was a Craps dealer at Horseshoe Casino for many years. In her younger years she enjoyed country dancing, singing in her band and bowling with friends on leagues a couple nights a week. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and eating out with family and friends. She loved having Karaoke nights with her children and going to watch her Peanut (Dustin) Bowl and play softball whenever she could. Brenda was sarcastically hilarious in a way she could say exactly what she was thinking good or bad to you about you and it was the funniest thing you had ever heard. Brenda will be missed by everyone that was blessed to know her.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, John Rodgers; her mother, Ida Annette Prothro Schroder; grandparents, William Bryan and Annie Bell Protho; aunt, Barbara Dell Prothro Thornhill; and her cousin, Randy Thornhill. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Melisa Lott, Ginger Rodgers, Dustin Rodgers and wife Samantha, and Brittany Rodgers; six grandchildren, Jordan Rodgers, Emery Mcdowell, Abbigail Rodgers, Mallory Rodgers, Anna Rodgers and Mikale Jester; sister, Lisa Nagot and husband Greg; nephew, Bryan Rodgers; three nieces, Morgan Rodgers, Lauren Nagot and Lindsey Nagot; aunt, Melba Garner; and four cousins, Susie Garner, Ginger Thompson, Rodney Thornhill and Greg Thornhill.
