MANY, LA - Funeral services for Brenda Moran Porter will be held at 3p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 at Warren Baptist Church in Fisher, LA. Officiating will be Reverend Ronnie Sandifer and Reverend Buster Jordan. Interment will follow at the Warren Cemetery in Fisher, LA. Visitation will from 11 a.m. until service time on Monday, March 4, 2019. Brenda was born April 5, 1949 in Marthaville, LA. to Thomas Ray Mitchell and Fronie Elaine Moran and passed away on March 2, 2019 in Many, LA. Brenda was a life-long resident of Sabine Parish. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Betty DeBold and Linda Ezernack and her brother, Billy Wayne Strange. Brenda is survived by her son Billy Wade Curtis and wife Kim of Natchitoches, LA; sisters, Marilyn Mitchell of Many, LA, Judy Mitchell and husband Mark of Many, LA, Lisa Hippler and husband Wendell of Many, LA and Wanda Ticer and husband Jim of Richmond, TX. She is also survived by brothers, Steve Mitchell and wife Susan of Florien, LA and Robert Earl Strange and wife Rosie of Mineral Wells, TX. Grandchildren include Rebecca Garcia and husband Myron, Erica Flynn and husband Michael, BJ Curtis and wife Kaylee, Cassie Curtis and Dalton Curtis. Great-Grandchildren are Hunter Flynn, Jhavien Garcia, and Cayson Flynn. Brenda is also survived by her best friend of 54 years, Cheryl Scroggins. Honoring Brenda as pallbearers will be Brady Sanders, Joshua Hippler, Michael Flynn, BJ Curtis, Charles Doyle and Layton Lovett. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great nephews.
