Brenda Kaye Grigg

A funeral service celebrating the life of Brenda Kaye Grigg, 71, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 3, 2023, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Sister Ann Neal and Bro. Shawn Beard officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Wren Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the church. The services will be under the direction of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Brenda was born on November 11, 1951, in Castor, LA to Lonnie and Alcie Bell and passed June 30, 2023, in Coushatta, LA. During her lifetime, she worked as a nurse at Christus Coushatta Hospital and Specialty Rehab in Coushatta.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Grigg; brother, Roger Bell; sisters, Margaret Anne Reed and Wanda Faye Rowell and husband, Bob; son, Brady V. Scott; mother-in-law, Katherine Wilson; father-in-law, Bobby Wilson; and brother-in-law, Charles Grigg.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas Scott; daughters, Krystal Grigg and significant other, Jason Hinson, Stacy Scott, wife of Brady, Shelly Langford and husband, Jason and special daughter-in-love, Ashley Rachall Wells; sister, Linda Gayle Allen and husband, Charles; brother-in-law, B. H. Reed, husband of Margaret; brother-in-law, Ricky Grigg and wife, Esther; sister-in-law, Donna Hutto; special friend, Steve Bamburg; sister-in-law, Maxine Grigg, wife of Charles Grigg; grandchildren, Dylan Hines-Walker, Mason Scott, Jerrod Scott, Justin Scott, Jayden Scott, Anthony Cox, Jase Grigg, Dale Grigg, Ashley Mangham, Hannah Mangham, Brandon Harper and Kenleigh Irby; thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Brenda as pallbearers will be Mason Scott, Jerrod Scott, Justin Scott, Jayden Scott and Anthony Cox. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jase Grigg, Dale Grigg, beloved nephews, and Buddy Thomas.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Christus Coushatta Health Care nursing staff and faculty.
