Brenda K Burkhalter

Brenda Kay Burkhalter, age 51 passed away at her home in Keithville, La on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 1:20 a.m. Brenda was born on August 1, 1968 at Willis Knighton North in Shreveport, La. She was mother of three boys which allowed her amazing sense of humor to shine as bright as her favorite color. In 2004 Brenda became BeBe with the birth of her first grandchild. She married Jeremy Burkhalter in 2008 and lived out her last days with him by her side. Brenda was one of a kind. She always found the fun in life. She loved her grandbabies, her dogs, and being a Louisiana girl, she loved Mardi Gras and New Orleans. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Lila "Debbie" Devereaux Hamby. She is survived by her father, Gene Autry Jackson; her husband, Jeremy Burkhalter; her three children, Dustin Brehmer, Corey Brehmer, and Nathan Brehmer; three stepchildren, Kristen Harvey, Jeri Burkhalter, and Ashlynn Hartley; grandchildren, Matthew Brehmer, Alyssa Brehmer, Marcus Brehmer, Ace Brehmer, Marshall Brehmer, Natalie Brehmer, Maverick Brehmer and Emily Harvey; sister and her spouse, Debra and Tommy Murray; her brother and his spouse, Daryl and Debra Jackson; nephew, Chris Murray; nieces, Carly Lyons, Lindsey Jackson, Laura Wolf, Megan Lyons, Lacie Moffett and Hannah Edwards. Brenda will be missed by many more family members and close friends. A celebration of Brenda's Life will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, La, 71118.
