Bonnie Mae Johnson Hall

A Celebration of Life for Bonnie Mae Johnson Hall, 76, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Chris Hough.

Bonnie was born April 16, 1946, in the small town of Epps, Louisiana to Jessie Johnson and Ruby Evelyn Johnson and was their seventh and last child. She gained her angel wings on July 18, 2022, after a long battle with COPD.

Bonnie worked as an individual commercial and residential cleaning and painting, and as a younger individual did some printing and bindery work. If you knew Bonnie, you knew what a wonderful caring individual she was. She loved to make sure everyone was taken care of especially her beloved Alex and Mei-Mei the puppies. Prior to getting ill, she enjoyed going fishing. After becoming ill, she became a squirrel and bird watcher. Most of all she loved her hummingbirds she had a special one she named General. Bonnie’s hobbies were reading the news on the internet, but most of all she loved her POGO games. Her favorite quote was, "If it is on Facebook it has got to be real", she loved her Facebook.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jessie D. Johnson, Paul Nolan Johnson, Martha Elizabeth Johnson White, and Finis Ewing Johnson; first husband, Jerry Douglas Smith; second husband, Tommy Lane Smith. She is survived by her son, Jerry Smith, Jr.; daughters, Tammy Squires and husband, Michael, and Le Nell Smith; grandchildren, Michael Smith, Erica Smith, Steven Smith, Angela Kenedy and husband, PJ, Amanda Greganti and husband, Joe, Joshua Weeks, and Amber Poche and husband, Jonathan; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Tallant; brother, Jeral Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as cherished family and friends.

The family will hold an additional Celebration of Life for Bonnie in Dallas, Texas at a later date.
