Bonnie Allard Brown

Bonnie Allard Brown, 98, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 25 at the Blake Assisted Living Facility in Bossier City, Louisiana. Bonnie was born on November 2, 1923, in Klondike, Texas and grew up in Cooper, Texas. She was born to Lawrence and Jimmie Allard. Bonnie attended Cooper High School where she graduated valedictorian. Shortly thereafter, she met the love of her life, Ernie Brown. After a whirlwind courtship, they were happily married for 63 years. During the time Ernie was working on the seismograph crew, Bonnie was busy raising their two daughters. When they moved to Minden, Bonnie was offered the secretarial position at Westside (Stewart) Elementary School where she worked for 25 years. She was loved by students and faculty alike. Bonnie was a member of Pine Hills Country Club where she and Ernie enjoyed many rounds of golf. Her greatest joy was being known as NeeNee by her three great grandchildren. Ernie had been an amateur radio operator for a number of years when he and Bonnie married. Bonnie got the "bug" and Ernie mentored her and eventually she got her license. Her call letters were W5TEB. Bonnie was a member of First Baptist Church Minden and accepted Christ at an early age. Bonnie is proceeded in death by her husband Ernie. Left to cherish her memory are Jan Brown Clements and husband Chuck of Evans Georgia, and Judy Brown Hubbard and husband Will of Bossier, City; granddaughter Amee Dart and husband Stacy of Bossier City. Also, she is survived by her beloved great grandchildren Emily Ann, Will, and Ellen Dart and one sister Fay Carona. Pallbearers will be Will Hubbard, Stacy Dart, Will Dart, Joel Wallace, and Doug Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Howard and Chuck Clements. Graveside services celebrating life of Bonnie Brown will be held on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Garden of Memories, Minden, Louisiana with Reverend Gary Faircloth officiating. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the Blake and to the wonderful employees who were there for Bonnie during her stay. Donations may be made to the Susan G.
