Bobby was born on April 23, 1933 in Vivian, Louisiana to Clarance “Pet” William Wall and Allie Daphne Wall and passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Bobby met and married Erma Smith in 1964. They were devoted to each other for over 50 years of love and marriage. They shared one daughter together, Linda, who took care of her parents all the days of their lives.

Bobby was a hard worker and spent his career with Swift Company until retirement. He was a strong Christian man that loved attending worship at First Baptist Church Shreveport. He was a member there for many many years. His Sunday School class was a place he looked forward to being every week. Fellowship with his church family was something dear to his heart.

Bobby was a man of few words until you wanted to talk sports. He was a true New Orleans Saints fan and loved to watch them play. He was also a BIG LSU fan. Him being the youngest of his siblings, his nephews were his Best Friends! He looked forward to their calls and visits. He was a good cook and you could always find him making a delicious breakfast, with grits of course!

Family was very important to him and he spent his young adult years being the BEST Uncle Bobby Joe to all his family. Many family members could not have made it without his love and help. He was tall and handsome, loved and respected by all. Being Pop Pop was his greatest joy! He did not talk much but he was very proud to share the good things his grandchildren were doing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; precious wife, Erma Smith Wall and was the last of his siblings and the youngest child of seven children, Olan Wall, Charlie “Doc” Wall, C.W. Wall, Martha Wall McCrary, Tobe Wall and Genevieve Wall Drake. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Linda Jackson Johnston; grandsons, William “Bill” R. Johnston, III and wife, Colleen, and Benjamin J. Johnston; great-grandsons, William Johnston and Russ Jones and wife, Kimbre; great-great-grandchildren, Tayten Jones and Tucker Grace Jones along with a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

He will be greatly missed until we are together in Glory.
