Bobby Mitchell, Sr.

Shreveport, LA - Bobby Lee Mitchell, Sr. age 73, passed away on April 6, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Mitchell was born to Clarence and Cora Mitchell on December 2, 1946 in Coushatta, Louisiana. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Willie Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy Mitchell; children, Sherrie Burrow and husband Steve, Charles Hammock, Jr. and wife Ginny, Mathew Hammock, Bobby Mitchell, Jr. and wife Wendi; eight grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; life-long best friend, James Pomeroy. Brother Mike Stowell will be officiating the service. Private graveside services will be conducted at Social Springs Cemetery, Ringgold, LA. A special thanks to the nurses, Kristie Foster, Shantel Brooks and Katelyn Wiggins at The Guest House and a special thanks to Tricia Williams, Debbie Brakeville and Toni Reeves with Regional Hospice. Pops was a wonderful man, father, grandfather, friend and father-in-law. He put up a long hard fight but he got tired and was ready to go home. He will be greatly missed. Pops, have a great time celebrating with your family and friends within those heavenly gates. Until we meet again! We love you so much! Gone but never forgotten.
