Bobby Wayne Lindsey. Sr., 78, of Elysian Fields, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 28, 2026. Born on May 4, 1947, in Robeline, Louisiana, he was the cherished son of William Clifton Lindsey and Alice Council Lindsey.

He was born into a farming family, where long days and hard work were simply a way of life. Those early years instilled in him a deep sense of responsibility, resilience, and determination. He carried that strong work ethic and grit with him throughout his life, never shying away from a challenge and always taking pride in a job well done.

Bobby dedicated over forty years of his life to his career as a skilled machinist at Libby Glass, where he was known for his exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to his work. He took great pride in his work, leaving a lasting mark and retiring with a sense of accomplishment, combining a legacy of hard work and dedication.

In his younger years, he found joy in the thrill of the track, spending time racing cars and embracing the excitement of competition. Whether behind the wheel at the local speedways or trying his hand at racing souped-up lawnmowers on the dirt track, he lived for those moments of adrenaline. Outside of racing, he loved a good night out and was known to “cut a rug” on the dance floor, bringing laughter and showcasing his zest for life.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Bobby's true heart belonged to his family. He was a steady presence and a source of constant joy for his loved ones. His warmth, laughter, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gay Lindsey, and their children: Bobby Lindsey Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Elysian Fields, TX, Shane Lindsey of DeBerry, TX, Tina Manual and her husband, Aaron of Shreveport, LA, Jay Lindsey of Elysian Fields, TX, Bryan Jefferson and his wife, Amy of Elysian Fields, TX, and Steve Jefferson of Parrish, Florida. Bobby also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will forever treasure his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his siblings: William Leland Lindsey, Annie Catherine “Sissy” Birdwell, Clifton “Junior” Lindsey, Wiley William Lindsey, Vera Lindsey, Elizabeth Louise “Bessie” Williams, Helen Williams, Donnis DeLoach, Billy Don Lindsey, Lonnie Lee Lindsey, and Arthur Ray Lindsey. Bobby is also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lisa Marie Wyatt (Lindsey), and his grandson, Trenton Alexander Lindsey.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow with graveside burial at Elysian Fields Cemetery, Farm to Market Road 451 in Marshall, Texas. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Brother James Runnels from Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Honoring Bobby as pallbearers will be Taylor Lindsey, Andrew Lindsey, Bobby Lindsey III “Mister”, Walker Jefferson, James Lindsey, and Ryan Wilkerson Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Shane Lindsey, Jay Lindsey, Aaron Manual, and Joe Grabener.

The family would like to express special thanks to the ladies of Three Oaks Hospice and Bobby's nieces, Becky and Jeannie, for the wonderful care and compassion given to Bobby.

Bobby’s legacy of love and dedication lives on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but his steady presence will be felt for generations to come.
