A graveside service for Bobbie Ruth Veatch, 96, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana.

Bobbie was born on April 25, 1930 in Tenaha, Texas to Jasper Watson and Lizzie Mae Patterson and passed away August 27, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas.

Bobbie lived a full and beautiful life centered around the people and things she loved most. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother who always put family first. Her love was constant, her care unconditional and she had a special way of making those around her feel loved and cared for. She enjoyed sports, especially golf, fishing and spending time with family and friends at various lakeside campsites in their RV. Bobbie also loved cooking. She found joy in bringing people together around the table, where there was never a shortage of good food and sweet tea. Her faith and church were important parts of her life. Christmas was always especially magical because of Bobbie -- the house, the presents and her hair were always just right. More than anything, her kindness, devotion, faith and the countless memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dean Veatch. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Veatch; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Trinity Heights Baptist Church, 3820 Old Mooringsport Rd., Shreveport, LA 71107.
