Funeral services celebrating the life of Bob Igo, Sr. will be held Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at North Acres Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Officiating will be Bro. Steven Smithson. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Bob was born November 28, 1936, in Clarksville, Texas and went home to be with his Lord on April 29, 2025, in Minden, Louisiana. Bob and family moved to Minden in 1961 he owned and operated (2) Piggly Wiggly grocery stores until May 1992. Bob was a faithful member of North Acres Baptist Church, a Sunday School teacher who loved his Lord and Savior and was a true testimony to all of his family and friends. He loved wood carving, hunting, fishing, watching Ranger and LSU baseball and Dallas Cowboys football, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Igo of Minden; son Bobby Igo, Jr. (Annette) of Minden; daughters, Pam Mathis (Frankie) of Grand Cane, and Melissa Gibson (Mark) of Sibley; sisters, Joan White of Bradford, Texas and Sharon Lawson (Ted) of Frisco, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 6 great great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason Chandler, Bobby Igo, III, Peyton Igo, Marcus Gibson, Jaret Chandler, and Nolan Permenter.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Minden Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Acres Baptist Church Youth Department, 1852 Lewisville Road, Minden, Louisiana.

The family extends a special thank you to Passages Hospice for the excellent care, comfort, and support given to our loved one and family.
