Funeral services for Billy Joe Hamm, 83, will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7910 Mike Clark Rd. in Keithville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Deacon Clary Nash.
Billy was born on July 2, 1941, in Banner, Virginia to William Fields Hamm and Edith Elizabeth Robinette, and passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at his home in Keithville, Louisiana.
Billy served in the United States Army before going to work for General Motors in Baltimore, Maryland and in 1981 transferring to the Shreveport, Louisiana plant. He retired after 36 years of service. His hobbies included camping, chili cookoffs, NASCAR, fishing and mainly hunting. He was a Caddo Sheriff Auxiliary which he enjoyed for 10 plus years coordinating many events. He mostly enjoyed the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, William Fields Hamm and Edith Hamm; sisters, Barbara Robinette, Leona Leddon, and Carol Blackwell; and grandchild, Angel Marie Hamm. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sharon Lee Pedrick Hamm. On April 1, 2025, they would have shared 58 years together. Other survivors include his sister, Pinky Ann McKenzie of Delaware; children, William Fields Hamm and wife, Shannon, stepdaughter, Kayce Boggs, and Michael Allen Hamm, all of Texas; grandchildren, Andrew Hunter Hamm and wife, Kara, Alexis Hannah Hamm, and Mason Allen Hamm; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Kate Hamm, Cohen Fields Hamm, Collier Joe Hamm, Baylor Grace Hamm, and Jaxson Blayne Hamm, all of Louisiana; and numerous other family and friends
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel 2 Towers or the charity of your choice.
