Mansfield, LA - A funeral service celebrating the life of Billy Gene Cordova, 77, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Logansport, LA with Reverend Lee McClintock and assisted by Reverend Tommy McMellon officiating. Interment will follow in Chreene Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport. Mr. Cordova was born on November 17, 1940 in Grand Cane, LA to Lawrence and Frances Lovett Cordova and passed away October 11, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Cordova was preceded in death by parents; wife, Mildred Marie Cordova; sister, Nan Gibbs; brothers, Lawrence Edward Cordova and Hayman Wheless. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Tony Pitts and wife, Diane of Logansport, LA; daughters, Angela Moore and husband, Bobby of Bossier City, LA, Wendy Parker of Gary, TX, and Tammy Clark and husband, Chris of Lindale, TX; sisters, Mary Mihalik, Bonnie Lynch, Mattie Kay Bush and Ann Anderson; brothers, John "Red Wheless, Kenneth Wheless and wife, Linda and Walter Wheless and wife, Lisa; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
