Billie B. Woods

Funeral services for Billie B. Woods, 86, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Burial will follow at Converse Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the funeral home. Billie was born March 26, 1933 in Rockdale, TX to Samuel and Katherine Woods and went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2019. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Foster Wheeler Corporation and the City of Shreveport. He was not only a loving husband, father, and grandfather but a great friend to all. Billie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years, Vivian "Bo" Woods; granddaughter, Lindsey Norton; and brothers, Charles and Don Woods. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tammy Heggenstaller and husband Dan, Charlotte Ambrose and husband Gary, and Billie Woods and wife Elaine; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
