Funeral services for Billie Jean McClure, 91, will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A graveside service will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Lonnie Moore, Th.D.
Billie Jean was born on September 24, 1930 to William Leonard Smith and Alice Jane Breithaupt Smith in Snowhill, Arkansas and passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Billie Jean was a resident of Shreveport and worked for AT&T before retiring. She loved to do plastic canvas, cook, and was a wonderful seamstress. She also wrote her own cookbook which she presented to her family members as gifts.
Billie Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Luther B. McClure; and son, Samuel E. McClure. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pam Bolton and husband, Larry, Beverly Allison and husband, Ronnie, Genevieve Graziano, Daniel McClure and wife, Janis, and Gwen Smith; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
