Billie Don Hendrick

Billie Don Hendrick, a loving, compassionate, family man, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 24, 2026, after a lengthy illness at the age of 93.

Billie Don spent his career with Scurlock Oil Company, which later became a part of Ashland Oil, Inc. He dedicated 38 years of service to the company, beginning his work in Texas before transferring to Louisiana in 1957. Outside of his work, he thoroughly enjoyed raccoon hunting with his dogs and spending time working on his classic cars and trucks. In the early 1970's, he became more interested in the bible and began studying it regularly, leading him to dedicate his life to God and get baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on June 3, 1973.

Billie was a deeply devoted man whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His compassionate spirit and desire to uplift those around him were evident in his ministry and his daily life. Billie will be remembered for his deep spiritual convictions and the gentle love he extended to his family, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his four children, Olga Ruth Price Hendrick, and one granddaughter, Johanna.

He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Naomi Taylor Hendrick; his two sons, Billie Dean Hendrick (Elyse) of Seymour, Tennessee, and Allen Hendrick (Karen) of Forrest City, Arkansas; and his two daughters, Brenda Davis (Miles) of Homer, Louisiana, and Beverly Rivera (Joe) of Angleton, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Nellie Hendrick Brown; Naomi's three children, Scott Taylor, Tammy Miller (Joel), and Shellie Nichols; Naomi's five grandchildren; his own eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who brought immense joy to his life.

A graveside service was held on September 26, 2026. A memorial service for Mr. Hendrick will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 25679 Hwy 2 West, Homer, Louisiana. All who knew Billie Don are invited to attend.
