Betty "Babs" Anne Salvaterra

Funeral services for Betty "Babs" Anne Salvaterra, 78, will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor John Harp, Associate Pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church. Babs was born October 27, 1943 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Charles Edward Brewer and Flora Belle Brewer and passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Bossier City. Babs graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 1961 and was a sister of Beta Sigma Phi. She was a devout Christian and attended various churches in the Shreveport area. She was married to Ret. MSG Joseph Salvaterra (U.S. Army), and they enjoyed spending time with family, friends and traveling with her "framily." She was very involved with children and grandchildren. She was the ultimate cheer grandma with all her children and grandchildren's sports and activities. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Joseph Salvaterra; and brothers, Edward L. Brewer and Billy C. Brewer. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sandy Wilson and husband Chad; son, Doug Salvaterra and wife, Kasey; grandchildren, Braydon Wilson, Abbigail Wilson, Devon Salvaterra, Courtney Mills, Dustin Mills, Joseph Salvaterra; and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Brewer and Bobbie Brewer Whitlock. Honoring Babs as pallbearers will be Larry Brossette, Joseph Salvaterra, Dustin Mills, Gary Brewer, Mark Brewer and Nate Mixon. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of their choice.
