Betty Lou Rodgers Evans

Betty Lou Rodgers Evans, 76, passed away on February 8, 2024. She was born on October 11, 1947, to Jesse James Rogers and Modra Emaline Rogers. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 11:00 a.m. located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Melba Rodgers. Interment will be held at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Joaquin, Texas.  Honoring Betty as pallbearers will be Bryan Benamati, John Benamati, Cody Myers, Steve Rodgers, Garren Lindsey, and Cody Rodgers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Rodgers and Jason Rodgers. 

Betty worked as an agent in the oilfield. She was family oriented and loved all of her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great grandkids. She enjoyed working in her yard, water skiing, shopping, going to church and Jesus Christ. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Modra and Jesse Rodgers; husband, John Evans; and brother, Mike Rodgers. Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Tracy Yeargan, and Terry Lindsey and husband Kenneth; son, Greg Evans; brothers, Billy Rodgers and wife Helen, and Travis Rodgers and wife Joan; along with 9 grandkids, 19 great-grandkids, and 2 great-great grandkids.
