Betty Free Inman

A graveside service for Betty Sue Free Inman, 87, will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Cemetery in Marthaville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Patti Foster.

Betty was born on December 28, 1934 to Thomas and Delia Birdwell Free in Marthaville, Louisiana and passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Betty was married for 44 years to the love of her life, Marcus “Pee Wee” Inman, before he passed away in 2008. She enjoyed reading, gardening, listening to gospel music, sewing, bird watching and working crossword puzzles. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband Marcus Inman; brothers, Truly, Marvin, Leo and Normous Free and sister, Frankie Free. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Marcus Dean Inman, Jr. and wife, Tanya of Grand Cane; daughter, Karen Inman of Shreveport; three grandchildren, Travis Inman and wife, Lindsey of Stonewall, Andrew Inman and wife, Katie of Keithville and Laura Inman of Keithville; three great-grandchildren, Joanna, Georgia and Ella Inman; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Honoring Betty as pallbearers will be Travis Inman, Andrew Inman, Homer Free, Michael Free, Jimmy Taylor, David Inman, Marvin Inman and Brandon Holt.
