A graveside service for Betty K Davis, 70, will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Minden Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor James Lowe.
Betty was born on March 3, 1955, to Leon and Ila Mae Kierbow in Springhill, Louisiana, and passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Betty Davis was a loving soul—sweet, kind, and always ready to listen. She had a gift for making people feel seen and cared for and was a true friend to many. With her warm heart, big smile, and bright blue eyes—those unforgettable “Betty Davis Eyes”—she lit up every room she entered.
She was once married and shared many years raising her family and creating memories that still bring comfort today.
Betty held many roles throughout her life—pipeline clerk, substitute teacher, business owner, bus driver, and stay-at-home mom. In each of them, she gave her best, always showing up with grace and quiet strength.
She was a gifted writer, proud to have had a poem published by the Famous Poets Society. She found joy in reading, writing, spending time around horses, traveling, and most of all, being with her beloved grandson, Jackson.
Betty will be remembered for her kind heart, her cooking, her gentle spirit, and the love she shared so easily with those around her.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Leon Kierbow; paternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Lott Kierbow, and her maternal grandparents, John Aaron and Emma Barge Teague. She is survived by her mother, Ila Mae Kierbow; daughter, Tiffany Davis, and spouse, Brian Dean; grandsons, Jackson, Matthew, and Lucas; sister, Linda Wilburn, and spouse, Arnold Wayne Wilburn along with two nephews, Joseph Mitchell, and Thomas Mitchell, and spouse, Haley Dyer.
Honoring Betty as pallbearers will be Brian Dean, Arnold Wayne Wilburn, Joseph Mitchell, and Thomas Mitchell.
