LUFKIN, TX--Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Betty Bryant, 86, will be at 10:00 AM Monday, November 20, 2017 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley, LA with her grandson Reverend Phil Wood and Reverend Richard Tull officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 6 PM till 8PM.
Betty was born on July 29, 1931 to J.C. and Mae Batts Lowery and entered into rest on November 16, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben H. Bryant; her parents; and sister, Helen Jo Martin. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She and Mr. Bryant were members at Mt. Olivet Church. When Betty moved to Lufkin, TX she faithfully attended Sunday school and chapel services at the Pinecrest Retirement Community.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael Bryant and wife Lynda of San Clemente, CA and Johnny Bryant of Livingston, TX; grandchildren, Michael Rueben Bryant and wife Cherylon, Tammy Bates and husband Billy, David Wood and wife April, Tim Bryant and wife Beth, Philip Wood and wife Jennifer, Tina Eaton and husband Thomas, Kristina Buelna, Cassandra Haire and husband Andrew, Wesley Bryant, Gayle Gardner and husband Johnathan; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Honoring the life of Betty as pallbearers will be David Wood, Tim Bryant, Wesley Bryant, Andrew Haire, Johnathan Gardner, Billy Bates, Thomas Anthony and Thomas Eaton.
