Mrs. Ruth Robinson, 92, died peacefully Friday, March 27, 2020 at WK Piermont Hospital from complications due to a fall at home. Burial service will be conducted March 31st 2020 at Forest Park Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. in Shreveport, LA.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Bossier City, LA and traveled to wherever the United States Air Force assigned her husband Lt Col Everett James "Robbie" Robinson (deceased) to include: Oklahoma, Florida and Michigan. Mrs. Robinson was a long time member of the Queensborough Baptist Church and Willow Point Baptist Church. She was a former executive secretary to the director of the Shreveport Association for the Blind, a mother, grandmother of three and great grandmother. She loved her family and told them often. She enjoyed traveling and visiting family in Colorado, Germany, Belgium, Alaska, and Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her husband Everett James Robinson, and her parents Mr. Edward Antoine Singleton and Mrs. Gertrude Martin Singleton. Survivors are two daughters Betty Lou Robinson of Shreveport, Pamela Ruth Capenos of Dayton, Ohio and son-in-law Colonel Steve Capenos, USAF Ret. Grandchildren Steven Capenos Jr. (Anna) of Tallahassee, FL, Mrs. Jennifer Weaver (Scott) of South Lebanon, OH and Mrs. Kathryn Wickline (KP) of Bellbrook, OH, great grandson Nathan Rourke and her special little four-legged friend Molly Bea.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mrs. Robinson may be made to the ASPCA. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Hernandez and staff at W-K-P and for all the prayers given for Mrs. Robinson and her family.
