Bertha Gail Cowdin

Funeral service celebrating the life of Bertha Gail Cowdin, 88 will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Cornerstone Ministries Cowboy Church 494 Bethel Rd., Logansport, Louisiana with Bro. Frankie Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at Cornerstone Ministries Cowboy Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Cornerstone Ministries Cowboy Church.

Bertha Gail Cowdin was born on March 5, 1938 in Converse, Louisiana to Lennis Barrington Springer, Sr. and Maybelle Tatum Springer and passed away July 29, 2026 in Logansport, Louisiana.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Cowdin, Sr.; parents, Maybelle and Lennis B. Springer, Sr.; sister, Helen Dale Craig; brothers, Lennis B. Springer, Jr., Amos Leon Springer and daughter-in-law, Inee Cowdin.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Eugene “Son” Cowdin, Jr., and Greg Cowdin (Tracy); daughters, Tammy Permenter (Dave), and Tonya Kyle (Bull); sister-in -law, Shawnee Cowdin; sister-in-law, Virginia Irene Wanamaker and Keith; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Honoring Bertha as pallbearers will be Dustin Cowdin, Caleb “P. Roy” Kyle, Cody Holmes, Brandon Heard, Dylan Dickson, John Lee, Paul Richardson, Ryder Ward, and Casey Roberson.
