Bennye Ryan Stewart

Bennye Ryan Stewart was born on December 26, 1935, in Fryeburg, Louisiana, and passed away on December 17, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Bennye was a longtime resident of Doyline, Louisiana, where she built a life centered on family and community.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles “Dugan” Stewart, her daughters, Cyndi Stewart Shoemaker and Becki Stewart Mitchell; her parents, Robert and Myrtle Alexander Ryan; her brother, Jack Ryan; and her sisters, Bobbye Ryan Smith, Glory Ryan Hamil, and Patricia Ryan Blair.

Bennye was a devoted wife, mother, Mamaw, and great-grandmother whose love and faith left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. She is survived by her sons, Chuck (Robin) Stewart, Scott Stewart, Keith (Cindy) Stewart, and Todd Stewart; her daughter, Robyn Stewart Warmack; her grandchildren, Megan Stewart Slee, Brittany Mitchell Weed, CJ Stewart, Blake Mitchell, Sierra Stewart Irby, Peyton Stewart, Elizabeth Stewart, Ryleigh Warmack, and Kenzie Smith;14 great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law, Karen Stewart who were a constant source of joy in her life.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Pilgrim Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for the compassionate care and love they showed Mom during her time there. We are also grateful to our Aunt Ruby Dodez, Mom’s sister-in-law and neighbor at Pilgrim Manor for a lifetime of love and friendship.

Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Interment will follow at Point Chapel Cemetery in Doyline, Louisiana.
