Benny left this world on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at his home in Stonewall after a long fight with cancer. He was married to his high school sweetheart for 54 years. There are so many reasons that we love and admire our daddy. He loved his family immensely. He was so talented, smart and witty. He was a perfectionist at everything he set out to do. He could build anything and that included one of his favorite places, "The Country Place." He loved being on his tractor, growing his gardens with his brother, being outdoors and hunting and fishing. He loved all of his grandchildren. His family time meant more to him than anything. He loved family gatherings and taking trips. He dedicated 32 years to the Shreveport Fire Department and retired as a District Fire Chief. He expected hard work the same way in which he performed every shift. He was loyal and fair to everyone he supervised. Benny also served in the Army and in the war in Vietnam. He has fought the good fight, finished the course and kept his faith. II Timothy 4:7 Benny was born on May 24, 1948 to Lawrence and Dora Mae Fredieu in Aloha, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Fredieu, James Fredieu, Melvin Fredieu and David Fredieu.
