Bennie Lee Wilson

Beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and teacher, Bennie Lee Wilson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2022. It is the family's wishes to have a private graveside service at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue.

Bennie was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on November 2, 1929. Growing up during the years of The Great Depression molded every day of her determined and purposeful life. At sixteen, after graduating early from Rodessa High School, she enrolled at Centenary College of Louisiana and graduated with her degree in education and religion. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Society Magna Carta Dames; she was also active in educational organizations. Bennie leaned heavily on her love and belief in Jesus Christ.

Bennie was predeceased by her father, Fletcher Palma Lee; mother, Kathryn Allen Lee; and her loving husband of 61 years, Wilbur Paul Wilson, Jr.

Clinton Rasberry III and future wife, Olivia Ann Domangue; and her great-grandchildren, Gracyn Lawrence, Rylan Lawrence, Mary Lakeyn Lawrence, Benjamin Grady, and Connor Cook.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to The Friends of the Greenwood Cemetery, P.O. Box 4492, Shreveport, Louisiana 71134.
