Belva Griffin

A graveside service celebrating the life of Mrs. Belva Ann Moss Griffin, age 82, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Williamson Cemetery, with Bro. Bruce Bratton officiating. Visitation is set for Monday, August 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia.

Belva was born on March 10, 1944, in Bryceland, Louisiana, to Ray and Ladelle Whitlock Moss and peacefully entered into rest on August 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

A devoted resident of Bienville Parish, Belva held a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ and was a cherished member of Bryceland Baptist Church. Her faith guided her as she raised her children, instilling values that would echo through generations. Known for her generous spirit, Belva delighted in cooking, ensuring that everyone around her was well-fed and cared for. Her deepest joy came from her family—her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—whom she cherished watching grow and thrive.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Tommy, Jimmy, and David Moss, sister Shirley Webb, spouse Tommy Gene Griffin, and the beloved companion of her life, her dog, Dee.

Those left to honor her memory include her son Alan Griffin; daughters Patricia Henderson and husband Wes, and Judy Griffin; her grandchildren Mandy McCoy and husband Matt, Josh Smith and wife Christy, Stacey Ogden and husband J. Ross, and Sky McMullan; and great-grandchildren Lily, Marlee, Brady, Annabelle, Addie, and Barron. She is also survived by her sister Donna Henderson and many other loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers will include Josh Smith, Brady Smith, Matt McCoy, J. Ross Ogden, Marty Smith, Boyd McMullan, Randy Moss, and Zack Moss.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Clifton Salmon, Dr. Beau Burton, Bristol Hospice, and her dedicated caregivers Rhonda Ward and Sarah Irwin.
