Barry "Buddy" Vickers

Barry "Buddy" Vickers of Converse, Louisiana passed away October 23, 2025. He was born May 22, 1948 in Monroe, Louisiana to Henry Felix Vickers and Rachael Theo Dykes Vickers.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, H.F. and Rachael Vickers; brother, Phillip James Vickers; first wife, Kathy Vickers; second wife, Gail Vickers; son, Keith Vickers; and great-granddaughter, Kenzie Jiles. Left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Misty Sibley and husband Terry; stepdaughter, Jennifer Gray and husband Brian; stepson, Lee Hicks and wife Angela; brothers, Ronnie Vickers and wife Sissy and Allen Vickers and wife Ann; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service honoring the life of Buddy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025 located at Shiloh Cemetery in Converse, Louisiana with Bro. Jimmy Price to officiate. Honoring Buddy as pallbearers will be Ronnie Vickers, Terry Straley, Tyler Vickers, Hunter Campbell, and Seth Campbell. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Rob Parker.
