Throughout her career, Barbara excelled at her work. She loved a challenge and received numerous awards and commendations for her contributions. After retiring, Barbara spent much of her time with her family and loyal companion, Lucy, her poodle baby. She loved her flowers and birds, both decorating the house with them, and building a refuge for them in the backyard. Barbara spent as much time as she could with her family, loving the holidays that brought them all together.
