Barbara J. Speer

Shreveport, LA - Barbara Jean Speer age 78, passed away after a very courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer on April 19, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mrs. Speer was born to Claude E. and Nora Lindsey Marshall on August 13, 1941 in Paris, Texas. She was a member of Oakmont Church of God, where she was a member of the cool group for many years. She was a loving mother and wife. Mrs. Speer was preceded in death by her infant son, Jimmy Dale Speer; parents; brothers, Cecil and Bobby Marshall. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Glen Speer of Shreveport, Louisiana; son, David Speer and wife Sarah of Shreveport, Louisiana and David's twin brother, Dean Rudd and Teresa of Lyman, South Carolina; a very special granddaughter, Anna-Lise Rudd (Toot Toot) of Lyman, South Carolina. A private graveside service will be at Centuries Memorial Park later this week. The family would like to give a special thank you to St. Joseph Hospice of Shreveport for giving her such great care.
