Barbara (Bobbie) Reeves

Barbara (Bobbie) Moore Reeves, 87 of Shreveport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully in her sleep on Monday, October 22, 2018. Services will be Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Broadmoor Baptist Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM. Officiating will be Dr. Tom Harrison, Executive Pastor. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be at Forest Park West immediately following the service. Bobbie was born September 12, 1931, near Bernice, LA. She moved to Shreveport in 1949 and began her career with Bell Telephone Company as a PBX operator. She worked at several companies during her career including Foremost Dairy, Broadmoor Baptist, and retiring from Riley Beard and later Deposit Guaranty Bank. Bobbie will always be remembered for her wonderful cooking, especially roast, fried chicken, chocolate pie, and divinity. She was a caring, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Bobbie shared many family traditions along with instilling hard work and her Christian heritage. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, working with preschool children and singing in the choir at Broadmoor Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Marshall Lee and Lydia Porter Moore; her husband, E.B. Reeves; her sister, Peggy Hutchinson; and brother, Sonny Moore. She is survived by her son, Robert Boddie (Kay); daughters, Wanda Boddie and Suzanne Western (Mike); grandchildren, Troy and Bryan Boddie, Justin Western; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Dylan Boddie; sister, Marsha Allen (Mike); and brother, Tommy Moore (Rita). Pallbearers will be Mark Boddie, Keith Allen, Ken Brunkenhoefer, Mike Western, Mike Allen, and Chris Thompson. Memorials may be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church, Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, or the Alzheimer's Association.
