Barbara Ann Pearson

Barbara Ann Pearson, 81, of Many, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on July 14, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Negreet, Louisiana with Brother Jimmie Glover officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Church Cemetery.

Barbara was born on January 18, 1941 in Marion County, Tennessee to Howard E. Thompson and Martha Thelma Vandergriff Thompson. She was Blessed with a great life, beginning with being married to the love of her life, Larry for 61 years. They shared an enormous amount of love between the two of them. He did or tried to do everything for her. Going cruising was a hobby they both loved! Barbara was a fulltime homemaker who enjoyed working in her rose bushes along with her many other flowers in her beautiful gardens. Coconut cake was always one of her favorite foods to eat. Overall, Barbara was the BEST WIFE, MOM, GRANDMOTHER, and GREAT GRANDMOTHER to all of her family!

She was preceded by her parents, Howard & Martha Thompson; her sister, Norma Briggs, and brother, James Thompson. She is survived by her husband, Larry J. Pearson of Many, LA; daughters, Denise Pearson Laborde & husband, Raymond of Many, LA; Melissa Ann Pearson & David of Arlington, TX; sisters, Martha Morgan of Hixson, TN; Judy Freeman of LaFayette, GA, and Leon Buchanan of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Heather Theriot, Duane Theriot, and Curtis Alpha, Jr.; her 8 great grandchildren along with other a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Raymond Laborde, Curtis Alpha, Duane Theriot, Donnie Likens, D W Likens, and David Smith. Her honorary pallbearers will be Cole Calais and Cal Calais.
