Barbara Lynne Morgan

Funeral services for Barbara Lynne “Baka” Morgan, 65, will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath. Officiating the service will be Rev. Willis Martin.

Barbara was born on June 23, 1957, to James and Virginia Whitehead in Natchez, Mississippi. She passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, in Keithville, Louisiana. She was married to the love of her life, Billy Morgan for 36 years until his passing in 2017.

Barbara was a resident of Keithville for many years and spent her career as a respiratory therapist dedicated to her patients at Willis-Knighton Health System. Barbara, called Baka by her grandchildren, was as devoted and loyal to her family and loved ones as they come. She loved Jesus and did her very best to love others like Him. Her generosity to others is a legacy that will last for generations.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father and husband. She is survived by her son, Clay Morgan and wife, April; grandchildren, Katelyn Morgan, Tyler Morgan,  Olivia Morgan, Cohen Morgan, and Maggie Morgan; mother, Virginia Whitehead; and brother, Jim Whitehead and his wife, Kay.

Honoring Mrs. Morgan as pallbearers will be Clay Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Jim Whitehead, Gary Presswood, Kyle Bruner, and Thad Sanches. Cohen Morgan will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
