Barbara Sue Maggi Hall passed peacefully on June 17, 2025. She was 90 years and lived a long and full life.
She was born and raised in Springfield, MO and married the love of her life, Tony Hall. They moved to Shreveport, LA, where they had 4 children. They were married 55 years before he passed in 2009.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We were truly blessed to have many wonderful years with her and will forever cherish all the beautiful memories.
She was a devout Catholic and a true servant of God. She served in leadership roles in numerous Catholic charities and organizations. Her dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed. In 2005, she was awarded the prestigious Diocesan Medal of Honor by Bishop William Friend.
Barbara worked at the old Sears Store at Mall St. Vincent before accepting a job as a Teacher's Aide with CPSB at Oak Park Elementary, retiring after 25 years. It was a job she dearly loved and came home telling so many sweet, funny stories about the children she loved so much.
Barbara was preceded in death by husband, Tony Hall; parents, Angelo and Rose (Stringer) Maggi; brothers, Fred, Leo, Richard and Bill Maggi; sisters, Mary Archer, Betty Wells, Rose Ann Gronniger and Patricia Maggi; great-grandsons, Landon Stockton and Hendrix Hall.
She is survived by daughters, Julie Hall Thomas (Doug) and Nicky Hall Burks (David); sons, Tony Hall (Susie) and Tim Hall (Kim); grandchildren, April Beaird Miles (Sean), Josh Beaird (Lisa), Ryan Thomas (Amy), Julia Hall Stockton (Seth), Sarah Beaird Rhodes, Timothy Hall and Courtney Hall; great-grandchildren, Cash Miles, Gabe Beaird, Caroline and Cooper Thomas, Haydon, Grayson and Madelyn Stockton; step-grandchildren, Angel Smith (Joe), Ben Cothran, Melissa Wiggins, Lamont DeCol and Torrey Raines; step-great grandchildren, Hannah Bergren, Garrett and Gauge Wiggins, Chase and Allison Evans; special nieces, Susan (Wells) Todd and Cindy (Wells) Carter, nephew, Jeff Gronniger and special great-nephew, Very Reverend J David Carter (Chattanooga, TN) as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and family members throughout the country.
A very special gratitude is extended to the staff at Southern Hills Healthcare and Rehab Center, where mom was cared for with compassion, kindness and love. Mom couldn't have had better care. Thank you!
We also wish to express our appreciation to Lifepath Hospice Care for the care given to mom in her final days and weeks, (especially to Allison, mom's RN, who was such a blessing to our family at this difficult time.
