Barbara J. Gour

Hall Summit, LA - A funeral service celebrating the life of Barbara Joyce Davis Gour, 76, was held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2020 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA with Brother Bill Davis, Sr. officiating. Interment followed in Social Springs Cemetery in Coushatta. The family received friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Mrs. Gour was born on April 18, 1943 in Coushatta, LA to L. C. and and Lillian Clarice Keith Davis and passed away March 3, 2020 in Ringgold, LA. Mrs. Gour was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grand-parents, Frank and Mary Jane Davis; maternal grand-parents, Mary Lee McCart and Jessie Keith; grandson, Brandon D. Allums; son-in-law, James W. Bowers; and numerous nieces and nephews.Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Charlene Bowers; sons, Robert D. Neal, Jr. and wife, Karen and Bo Neal, and wife, Patty, and James Robert Gour, III "still looking"; brother, Jessie F. Davis and wife, Debbie and Aunt Nancy Cason; grandchildren, Ricky D. Allums, Marsha Womack and husband, Charles, Jeremy Neal and wife, Shasta, Melissa and Josh Dowlen; step-grandchildren, Megan and Dalton Crehan; great-grandchildren, Kari, Matt, and Britton Allums,, B. J., Madelin, and Kelcee Allums, and Josh and Kade Neal; step-great-grandchildren, Ashton, Braxton, and Oakleigh; and a host of nieces and nephews. Honoring Mrs. Gour as pallbearers were Cory Davis, Jason Briggs, B. J. Allums, Matt Allums, Jessie Davis, Robert Neal, Jr., and James Robert Gour, III. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nursing home staff of Ringgold Nursing Home, Southern Care Hospice, special caregivers, Kristen Wiggins and Sheila Russell and the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home staff.
