Barbara Ann Roy

Funeral services for Barbara Ann Roy will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow immediately at Summer Grove Cemetery, 2559 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Lee. Barbara was born April 25, 1945 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Robert Leon and Theresa Lillian Roy. Barbara passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Barbara received her Cosmetology license at Pat Goins Beauty School. She was known for being a good mom and she would sacrifice anything for her children. All her clients loved talking with her every day, she would go on about how much she loved her children. Barbara had lots of friends and had a very carefree spirit. She enjoyed collecting knick-knacks, dolls, and gardening. She was a spiritual woman, dedicating her final years to the Lord. Her favorite verse was Genesis 9:7. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Maureen "Marty" Roy Butt; and son, Richard "Skeeter" Kelly Payne, Jr. Barbara is survived by her children, Kathy Noe and husband, Robert, Denise Platt and husband, Rex, Troy Holt, Randy Holt and wife, Christine, Christopher Holt, Stacye Bounds and husband, James, Donna Harlow and husband, John Michael, Rick Holt and wife, Nayda, Clara Carmichael Bordelon, Theresa Payne and William "Billy" Everett; 27 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert "Junior" Leon Roy, Jr and wife, Phyllis, James "Jimmy" Norris Roy and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Barbara as pallbearers will be Troy Holt, Randy Holt, Rick Holt, John Moreno, Jason Waters and Stephen Waters, Jr. A special thank you to Clara and Billy from all the brothers and sisters for the dedication, time and care they gave mom.
