It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Autumn Beth Nicole Lacasse, 26 passed away Aug 26, 2026, at home surrounded by family in Minden La after a battle with Stage 4 cancer after being diagnosed in Jan 2026.

Autumn was born to Doug and Kay Lacasse of Minden on Dec 19, 1999.

She graduated from Minden High in 2019 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She went on to get her EMT degree where she found her true calling working as an EMT first responder with Pafford EMS. She loved her job and had planned to continue her education and become a paramedic.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Hershel & Carolyn Nelson, Joyce Brown and Dub Lacasse. Mother-in-law Lisa Chism, Aunts Alicia Miller and Alena Keller, Special friend Matt Ethridge and Maw her great grandmother in which she was the apple of her eye.

She is survived by her wife Mariah Sopscak. Daughters Av’va Lacasse and Amanda Miller.

Mother Kay Nelson Lacasse, Father Doug Lacasse, Brothers Casey Lacasse and David Miller of Minden. Fur Babies Pocki and Bella. Numerous Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, coworkers and special friend Josh Williams.

Special thanks to Dr Koticha and the great staff of nurses at Highland Cancer Center for the special care for the past 7 months.

Words can never express the gratitude and thanks to all of them for their help, love and concern for Autumn during her treatment. They went above and beyond in her care and their concern trying to help her fight this horrible disease. Autumn put up a big fight the last 7 months but in the end her cancer was too aggressive.

Autumn enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her family.

Playing “Hell Divers” on her PS5 with her best friend Josh or gaming and hanging out with her cousin David “Buddy”.

Her most favorite thing was spending time with her Daughter Av’va (9 months old).

Although she lived 26 short years, she always said she loved her life and her family.

Service for Autumn will be held Sat. Sept 12th at 11 am at 1st Assembly of God Church,

407 Fort St Minden La.

Followed by procession and last call with burial at Minden Cemetery.
