Audrey Virginia McDonald went to be home with the Lord on October 20, 2018 in Shreveport, LA following a lengthy illness. She was born March 12, 1933 in Converse, LA to Addice and Clara Heard McDonald.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, LA with Rev. McKee Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to service time at the fellowship hall in Fellowship Baptist Church.
Audrey graduated from Oak Grove High School and Mathieu Business College in Lake Charles, LA. She lived in Lake Charles until she moved to Shreveport in the 1950s and worked at First National Bank (now Chase) until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church for many years and later joined First Baptist Church of Shreveport.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby H. McDonald; and sister, Margie Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her brother, A.W. McDonald and wife Diane of Stonewall, LA; sister-in-law, Lela McDonald Novak and husband John of Bossier City, LA; nieces, Kathy McDonald Lewis and husband Dr. David Lewis of Shreveport, LA, Rose McDonald Garcia of Burleson, TX, and Robin McDonald Bagley and husband Christian of Burleson, TX; nephews, Kyle McDonald and wife Tisdale of Ruston, LA and Ritchie McDonald of Oak Grove, LA; and numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle McDonald, Ritchie McDonald, Kade McDonald, Kaleb Chandler, Dr. David Lewis, and Christian Bagley.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care give to Audrey at Heritage Manor South.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
